Certified Nutrition Educators
Nutrition educators certified by Nutritional Weight &
Wellness have completed extensive training in the biochemistry of nutrition under the instruction of Licensed Nutritionist
Darlene Kvist and mentor teachers. The curriculum includes learning the latest research and clinic-based nutrition in
classes, reading dozens of nutrition books, and practicing interactive teaching techniques through team teaching. The initial
training process typically takes 12-18 months. Once certified, nutrition educators attend regular teacher training sessions
and conferences for continuing education. In addition, nutrition educators all live the nutrition and lifestyle principles
they teach, which gives them the ability to share personal strategies and tips in their classes. Many nutrition educators
are former clients, while others are in the health care field. All of the NWW nutrition educators share a passion for nutrition
and the goal of helping people understand how nutrition can be the solution for lifelong health and well-being.
Certified Nutrition Educators teach the Weight & Wellness series,
in-house classes and community education courses.
