All my life I have struggled with weight. I have tried all the diet programs out there. For the last few years I had given up on losing weight, but then I decided to try one last thing: the Nutrition 4 Weight Loss Program. I wanted to try the program after hearing about it on the Dishing Up Nutrition radio show. This would be my last ditch attempt at trying to lose weight. After this, I would give up once and for all if it didn’t work.

Lost Weight and Reduced Blood Pressure

Luckily for me, the Nutrition 4 Weight Loss Program does work! And works wonders. Of course I lost weight, more than 60 pounds* and 4 dress sizes to be exact, but there were so many other big improvements to my health as well. First off, my blood pressure has gone down to where I’m almost off medication. Since I changed my eating, I have been working with my doctor to gradually decrease the meds, and the next step for me is to be completely off of them!

My Anxiety is Under Control

Another huge improvement has been with my anxiety. It’s WAY more under control. I used to experience 3-4 debilitating panic attacks each week. I would have to retreat to a quiet place when they happened so I could function again. In between panic attacks, I was always anxious. Now I go weeks without anxiety, and when I have it, it’s much easier for me to handle. My moods are more balanced as well. I used to have drastic mood swings…one minute I’d be fine; the next minute I’d feel cranky and be short with everyone. My moods are stable now because I’m feeding my body and brain what they need! Eating better has also positively impacted my energy. I work two jobs and used to nap in between jobs because I was so tired all the time. Now, I rarely nap.

No More Cravings

I’m thrilled that my out-of-control cravings have gone away. My cravings used to be so severe that it felt like my car would literally just drive itself to fast food restaurants. I couldn’t control it. Since eating the Weight & Wellness Way, I haven’t had any fast food and my body no longer craves it. Staying away from fast food and gluten has made such a huge difference in my life!

My counseling session with Jamie was wonderful. She was such a great listener to my specific needs. She always had suggestions for me that worked and made a huge difference with my lifestyle. I have continued to see her for support and helpful suggestions. And the classes were phenomenal! My teachers brought so much knowledge to our group each week.

After discovering the healing power of food, I now have a totally different life. I feel better in more ways than I ever thought I could. Before I felt like I was just here, not participating in life, not enthusiastic about anything, and not excited. Now, I get excited about life and look forward to being with family and friends. Everything is flowing in my life now!
