Randi N.'s Story - 60 Pounds Lost* & Counting

*Because everyone is unique, individual results vary.

testimonial_RandiN.jpgRandi’s co-worker had been losing weight by seeing a nutrition counselor at Nutritional Weight & Wellness. She was intrigued by her friend’s success since she also wanted to lose weight. Randi’s doctor had recently reminded her that she should shed some weight for her health, but recommended a weight loss program that had failed her in the past. She felt depressed and discouraged after this recent doctor visit, but hopeful that her co-worker’s solution could work for her.

Randi’s workplace was sponsoring a weight loss competition among employees. Randi thought this would be good motivation to start losing weight. She talked to her co-worker who was following the Nutritional Weight & Wellness eating plan and got tips from her on what to eat. She lost weight, but after the contest at work ended, she gradually went back to her old ways of eating. She gained 30 pounds back, and it was then that she realized she needed more help.

She enrolled in Nutrition 4 Weight Loss and realized right away that this class was the missing piece for her. “My co-worker had told me what to eat, but not the why,” Randi stated. The Nutrition 4 Weight Loss class, along with one-on-one nutrition counseling, taught her what happens inside her body when she eats healthy versus unhealthy foods. Everything finally clicked for Randi and the pounds started falling off.

Randi has taken the class multiple times to keep her weight loss momentum going. She enjoys learning a little something new each time she retakes the class. Different teachers bring their own experiences and knowledge to the classes and that has helped her learn. She has lost 60 pounds* and hopes to still lose more. She is happy that along with her weight loss, she has gained tons of energy and her aches and pains are gone.

“People always say, ‘I can’t eat healthy because it’s too expensive.’ But I know that eating healthy will pay off in the long run. To people who say healthy eating is too expensive, I say: Pay the grocer now or pay the doctor later.”

*Most people following the Nutrition 4 Weight Loss Program can expect to lose one pound or more per week, but because everyone is unique, individual results vary.
