Open Position: Marketing Manager

Nutritional Weight & Wellness and NutriKey offer life-changing nutrition education, counseling, and professional grade supplements to anyone wanting a healthier life. We believe that eating real food in balance creates abundant energy, stable moods, a faster metabolism, and overall vibrant good health. Our growing business has six locations in the Twin Cities area with twelve dietitians and nutritionists, a team of nutrition educators and dedicated staff, a successful radio show with podcast listeners from Minnesota to Australia.

Because of our growth, we have identified a need to create a new, full-time Marketing Manager position. This position would be based out of our St Paul office with opportunity to work from home.

As the first Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the continued success, and growth of Nutritional Weight & Wellness and NutriKey. Thereby making a direct impact on potentially thousands of individual’s health and wellness. The Marketing Manager will play a key role in managing and improving current marketing strategies and develop new channels and strategies.

Our ideal candidate is a person that understands marketing strategy, planning, and implementation; is a flexible self-starter who enjoys working simultaneously on multiple projects.

In addition to all the usual qualifications we are looking for someone that has a true concern and care for other individuals and team members. A person with high integrity and willingness to step in and help in multiple areas of the business. Someone that is confident in their opinions but doesn’t have to always be right or the smartest person in the room. Someone that deeply cares about their work but not more than their family. A person that people like to work with and inspires other team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Create digital and content strategy plan for both brands and work with other creative staff and partners to deliver social media, paid media, website/e-commerce, email, and traditional advertising channels
  • Manage marketing projects creating timelines and ensuring the team hits key deadlines
  • Lead creative team that include two graphic designers, a social media strategist, and content writer.
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and assess against goals
  • Work within the brands content management systems (Concrete 5, Shopify) to manage the website activities
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to ensure content strategy is aligned across email, social, web, podcast and retail and all assets produced are in line with brand guidelines and voice.
  • Work with partners, stakeholders, and creative team to develop new strategies and channels such as affiliate, ambassador/influencer marketing and membership programs.
  • Perform market research to understand consumer’s interests, needs, and to help ensure our content strategy and product offerings are on target for our audience
  • Support six retail locations by providing messaging and merchandising.

Minimum Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in marketing, communications, advertising, or design.
  • Proven marketer who understands and has worked with small businesses with cross function teams for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Interest and gifted in copywriting
  • Proficient understanding of how all social platforms operate and how to improve reach and engagement
  • Skilled with SEM and SEO methods and strategies and ability to measure results using Google Analytics
  • Robust understanding of effective e-mail campaign management using Klaviyo and or Emma
  • Knowledge and clear understanding of affiliate and ambassador/influencer marketing
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Ability to contribute to team environment with positive input, and desire to improve the brand’s communication with its clients
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience leading creative teams to ensure marketing goals are achieved.
  • Driven to stay on top of and learn new marketing strategies

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Shopify and CMS software
  • Wide range of creative experience including graphic design, video, photography and/or audio podcasts
  • Experience and appreciation working with small businesses
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Interest in health and wellness, specifically nutrition.
