Wendy’s longtime commitment to real food and personal health journey made her a Dishing Up Nutrition listener since before she joined the team. In fact, after listening to one episode, The Cholesterol Myth with Dr. Stephen Sinatra, and subsequent testing, Wendy discovered the startling realization that she carries a genetic component that greatly increases her risk for heart disease. The news further committed Wendy to eating real foods in balance in addition to prioritizing hydration and sleep; resulting in elevated moods, weight loss, relief from chronic pain and peace of mind knowing she is doing all she can to combat heart disease.

Wendy is a registered and licensed dietitian through the Minnesota Board of Nutrition and Dietetics. She received her B.S. in dietetics from St. Catherine University and completed her dietetic internship at Regions Hospital. Prior to joining Nutritional Weight & Wellness, she worked for non-profits in a variety of programs designed to connect those in need with fresh, nutritious food options.
