Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide and people spend 15 billion dollars annually on anti-depressant medications. So what’s causing people to feel so depressed? Could the foods they’re eating be contributing to their low moods? On this episode, hosts Darlene Kvist and Cassie Weness take a close look at gluten and it’s connection to depression. Many people relate gluten sensitivity solely to gastrointestinal issues, but the reality is, gluten can affect any organ including the brain.
