Alyssa Krejci, RD, LD, LMNT

Alyssa Krejci-0927.jpgAs a teenager and avid dancer, Alyssa fell into a cycle of disordered eating and struggled with anxiety and depression. Upon noticing a positive change in her mood and energy after eating healthier meals and snacks (specifically a good source of protein), an interest in nutrition was sparked and hasn’t dimmed since. Fast forward to today and Alyssa, a busy mom of two, watches everyday the impact food choices have on her children’s (and her own!) mood and behavior. “The desire to feel my best and to help others feel their best inspired me to become a registered dietitian.”

Making the connection that food impacts how you feel was freeing and empowering, something Alyssa works with every client to discover for themselves. “I love helping my clients feel empowered to make better choices and to feel positive about the food choices they make and maintain every day. Every client has a story and I love to fully listen and absorb that to provide them with the best nutrition therapy care and support in their health journey.”

Before a client comes in, Alyssa stresses that there’s no need to have a “Last Supper” indulgent meal – “I love eating and will make sure you do, too! I’m so excited about food and menu planning that I spent almost a decade working as a retail dietitian – meaning I spent many hours in the grocery store aisles helping patients and customers menu plan, shop and even meal prep full weeks’ worth of family meals through monthly meal prep classes. I only recommend meal and snacks that I find enjoyable and often make and feed my family. No flavorless cardboard nutrition recommendations around here, just good and flavorful real food.”

When not counseling clients you will find Alyssa experimenting with food combinations, enjoying life with her young family and still dancing!
