Spicy Shrimp Recipe

Makes 4 servings | Gluten free and dairy free

Step 1

3 Tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
6 Tbsp Sriracha Sauce or Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
1-2 pounds large shrimp, deveined, tails on and shells removed
5-10 wooden skewers, soak in water 20 minutes before using
Lime wedges and fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish

Directions:

  1. Heat the grill to 400F.
  2. Combine the butter and hot sauce in a bowl.
  3. Skewer the shrimp; if you can find flat skewers these work best and make flipping the shrimp much easier.
  4. Place shrimp skewers on the grill for 3-4 minutes or until they release from the grate.
  5. Flip and brush the shrimp with the marinade and grill another 4 minutes.
  6. Flip them one last time and brush with a little more of the marinade.
  7. Remove from the grill and brush one last time with the marinade before serving.

These make for a great appetizer or serve them as a meal with a side of our Jicama Salad and fresh fruit.
