On a recent Dishing Up Nutrition podcast on cancer prevention, dietitian Melanie shared a stat that got a lot of our clients talking: “Vegetables are the powerhouse that help us to fight cancer. Five to nine cups a day.” Five to nine a day. Sure, the benefits are amazing; vegetables help you detox your body of toxic estrogens (both men and women have toxic estrogens) and balance hormones, and they reduce your risk of developing cancer and your risk of stroke. This is in addition to helping establish better gut health, aiding with weight loss, preventing high blood pressure and improving blood sugar.

Okay, we making-smoothie.jpgget it, veggies are important! If you add the Espresso flavor to your black coffee, does it break your fast?
How about the strawberry kiwi with water? Would drinking that beverage break a fast?
Thanks!

Key Greens & Fruits contain anywhere from 38-45 calories and 7-9g carbs per scoop. It would have to be determined by the medical professional you are working with as to whether this fits within the allotment per the medical reasons you are fasting.
