I became more concerned about my health after my husband passed away. He was ill for nine months and then gone. I felt I had let myself go during the emotional time that he was sick, and I wanted to get serious about my health because my son needed to have a parent in his life. I was so impressed with the classes and my appointment with Brenna because they taught me how to be in control of my cravings. In the past, I had tried diet programs where I would track all the foods I ate or eat portioned meals, and I would lose weight, but eventually gain it back. The missing piece was that I never got any education. I have always had such strong sugar cravings, and what’s great about Nutrition 4 Weight Loss is they teach you the reasons why you have cravings in the first place. Having that understanding has really changed my relationship with food. I now know exactly what foods to eat to avoid cravings, stay at a healthy weight, keep heartburn away, avoid pain in my knee and keep my energy up. I know what works and what doesn’t.

I’m happy to report that I lost 62 pounds*and dropped four dress sizes. I found that when I sold my house, I had more energy to do the physical work to prepare the house for sale. My knee doesn’t bother me and my heartburn is gone. There have been times when I’ve eaten unhealthy foods and when that’s happened, my heartburn and pain has come back. The good news is that when that has happened, I know just what to eat to feel better again. I’m finally in control of my eating and no longer feel like a failure.
